Just about everyone serves green beans at Thanksgiving! Some green bean casserole, with the cream of mushroom and crunchy onions, some canned beans, some cooked all day. I have come to love raw and barely cooked veggies the most, but these are an EASY and yummy alternative and a dish you don't have to touch all day!
What you need...
2 lbs. of green beans (serves 6+)
6 slices of uncured bacon
1/2 onion, sliced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Place 4 strips of raw bacon on the bottom of the crock pot. Toss beans over the bacon, add onion, and top with 2 strips of raw bacon. Sprinkle salt and pepper over. Set slow cooker to high for 6 hours. Serve.
